Our Mission is for each child to discover, celebrate and be who he or she is supposed to be. Consistent, caring relationships and a comprehensive activity program are essential to achieve our mission.

Elmwood is located at 900 Dobbs Ferry Road in White Plains, NY. We are appoximately 30 minutes by car from NYC.

Elmwood is made up of 165 responsible, dedicated, and caring people. Our staff members are high school seniors, college students, graduate students, teachers, coaches, school psychologists and social workers. Most live in Westchester County, Rockland County, Southern Fairfield County, and the 5 boroughs of NYC.

Campers range in age from 3-10 years old and come from Westchester County and Manhattan.

Camp opens on Monday June 29th and ends on Thursday, August 20th. We are closed on Friday, July 3rd. In addition each staff member will attend a 3 day orientation.

Staff arrive at 8:30 and leave at 4:15. Additional time is required for staff members involved in camp transportation. Each counselor is required to stay in camp for two late stays for parent visiting during the summer.

Salary ranges depends on position and experience.

A typical day begins with arrival at approximately 8:30AM. Morning meeting begins at 9AM. Activities run from 9:30AM to 3:30PM. The day concludes with snack and departure. Each day's activities include a balance of our 5 Key Program Areas: Swim, Athletics, Creative Arts, Performing Arts & Club/Electives.
