Our Mission is for each child to discover, celebrate and be who he or she is supposed to be. Consistent, caring relationships and a comprehensive activity program are essential to achieve our mission.

About Our Location

Elmwood is located at 900 Dobbs Ferry Road in White Plains, NY. We are appoximately 30 minutes by car from NYC.

About Our Staff

Elmwood is made up of 165 responsible, dedicated and caring people. Our staff members are high school seniors, college students, graduate students, teachers, coaches, school psychologists and social workers. Most live in Westchester County, Rockland County, Southern Fairfield County and the 5 boroughs of NYC.

About Our Campers

Campers range in age from 3-11 years old and come from Westchester County and Manhattan.

About Dates of Employment

Camp begins on Monday, June 25th and ends on Thursday, August 16th. We are closed on
Wednesday, July 4th. In addition, each staff member will attend a 3 day orientation.

About Your Hours

Staff arrive at 8:30 and leave at 4:15. Additional time is required for staff members involved in camp transportation. Each counselor is required to stay in camp for two late stays for parent visiting during the summer.
